The Event
Event Parking and Transport

Although the event starts in Ingleton, parking there is limited, and there are no arrangements in place to ferry entrants back to Ingleton from the finish at Threshfield. We do however, provide free parking at Threshfield and the option of booking a place on one of the buses that transport entrants from Threshfield to the start on the Saturday morning of the event (£10). This transport can be booked at time of entry or after entry using the Adding Extras To An Existing Entry tab (only visible while online entries are open). You do not need to book transport to make use of the car park, e.g. if you wish to leave your car there ready for the finish and get a lift up with a friend.

In response to concerns raised by local residents about the number of cars parking along the road leading from the B6160 towards the school and on the school road itself in recent years we now operate a car park located in Skirethorn Quarry, approximately 10 mins walk from Threshfield (see map). The new carpark also has the advantage of having hard-standing so no more getting bogged down in a soggy field! Shuttle buses will run between the car park and the school from 17:30 on the Friday until around 10pm depending on demand. There will also be shuttle buses on the Saturday morning operating from 05:15 until the first bus leaves for Threshfield at 05:45. Anyone who has booked transport but not had their kit checked on the Friday evening needs to catch the first bus as later buses will be full. Shuttle buses will also be run from the school back to the carpark regularly, the frequency depending on demand – just let the registration desk know that a lift back is required.

We ask that, out of consideration for local Threshfield residents on whose goodwill we depend, entrants please park only in the Quarry car park and not on any of the roads surrounding the school or in the field we have secured for camping.
