Event Parking and Transport

Although The Fellsman starts and the Dart registration is at Ingleton Community Centre, parking there is limited, and is pay and display.

There are no arrangements in place to transport entrants back to Ingleton from the finish at Threshfield once you have finished your individual event.

We do however, provide free parking at Skirethorns Quarry, Threshfield with the option of booking a place on one of the coaches that transport entrants from Threshfield to the start / registration on the Saturday morning of the event (£11). This transport can be booked at any time online via you SiEntries events account. Alternatively if Space is still available it can be added in person at registration on Friday Evening.

In response to concerns raised by local residents about the number of cars parking along the road leading from the B6160 towards the school and on the school road itself in recent years we now operate a car park located in Skirethorns Quarry,

The carpark approximately 10 mins walk from Threshfield (see map) and has ample parking space available on hardstanding. Please follow the Yellow and Black Signs all the way up the lane until you pass through the double gate where the toilets are situated.

Shuttle buses will run between the car park and the school from 17:30 on the Friday until around 10pm depending on demand. There will also be shuttle buses on the Saturday morning operating from 05:15 until the first bus leaves for Threshfield at 06:00.

Anyone on The Fellsman who has booked transport but not had their kit checked on the Friday evening needs to catch the first bus.

Shuttle buses will also be run from the school back to the carpark regularly, the frequency depending on demand – just let the registration desk know that a lift back is required.

Please note the Shuttle Bus will not pick up or drop off enroute.

We ask that, out of consideration for local Threshfield residents on whose goodwill we depend, entrants please park only in the Quarry car park and not on any of the roads surrounding the school or in the field we have secured for camping.
